My Gangs
When you join, you automatically get put into a gang based on your email
address (unless you have a well known free email account such as hotmail). The
reason for this is that many people use their work email so they can automatically
borrow and lend DVDs with people in their own company and use internal mail to
deliver the DVD.
Note that you can opt out of this automatic gang if you wish on the gangs page
Hotmail and other well known email users
With hotmail and other well-known web accounts you probably don't want everyone
with one of these addresses being able to request DVDs from you so you
do not automatically get a gang if you have one of these addresses. Therefore
you would have to create a personal gang
Personal Gangs
If you find that you want to create your own personal gang for friends who
you don't work with or go to Uni with then you can. You get a secret web-address
or code that you can send your friends to enable them to join your gang.
You can also "own" the gang - this means you get the chance to approve
anyone trying to join the gang
